The explosion of information about human genetics and genomics is creating new opportunities for clinical research, but also raises important questions regarding research participants. This talk reviews some major issues involved in genetics and genomics research, including definition of genetic testing & research, return of research results, consent of family members, and DNA and tissue banking.
