Clinical Skills Training - Phlebotomy

The CRP, in collaboration with the Norman Knight Nursing Center for Clinical and Professional Development, is offering Phlebotomy Training for Clinical Research Coordinators. Offered monthly through the CRP, these trainings will provide a review of the fundamentals of phlebotomy as well as a guided practice session where attendees will practice drawing blood on a mannequin arm.

Participants will be required to complete their clinical experience and competency assessment under the supervision of qualified staff members within their own research settings.

Please note: practice draws on the mannequin arm will not count towards the number of successful blood draws required to complete the phlebotomy competency assessment.

This two-hour training is limited to 8 individuals to facilitate interaction.
