Jeff Greenwald, of the Core Educator Faculty in the Department of Medicine, received the Society of Hospital Medicine Award for Outstanding Service in Hospital Medicine, the highest honor the society gives to a physician for exceptional service in the discipline.

MGH clinicians have access to a robust set of tools and resources to help engage patients in their care. Engaged patients are shown to have better outcomes and lower healthcare costs. Patient engagement strategies include educating patients about their conditions and empowering them to participate in decision-making about their care.

The Division of General Internal Medicine’s Hospital Medicine Unit (HMU) continues its efforts to recognize and spread happiness throughout MGH! This season, they have announced their newest Happiness Hero – Jovan Harrington!
